Shimon and Oranit Garibi are the founders of Leicht USA, the official distributor of Leicht in the United States. Shimon’s visionary leadership led him to become the CEO and principal designer, influencing over 50 national showrooms with his contemporary design influence. He first fell in love with the art of craftmanship working in the carpentry workshops of his father and grandfather. After advanced studies at the Technion Israel Institute in Modern Design, Shimon became a prominent head kitchen designer, designing thousands of kitchens. A few years after beginning his Leicht journey as a designer in Maryland, Shimon and Oranit started Leicht USA.
Despite the challenging economy of the time, they successfully launched over 20 showrooms in just three years. In 2013, the family moved to Irvine California where they established Leicht South Coast Plaza, the Leicht USA headquarters. Shimon and his son are the proud creators of Dash4Kitchens –an AI-powered software fine-tuned for streamlining design, order processes, and meticulous tracking of containers and Leicht products. Beyond business success, an understanding of software systems, and a deep talent and passion for architecture and interior design, Shimon has nurtured the careers of hundreds of budding designers and entrepreneurs.
